Unit 2:Fantastic and strange.
Fantastic and strange.
The reason why i have chosen to do fantastic and strange is because it looks interesting to do. In the pictures show all different ways of doing it such as, over lapping photos, double exposure etc.

Antonia Mora
Antonia Mora was born 1957. Antonio does double exposures in his photographs and blend the natural world and humans together. He gets images from magazines, online and blogs and then puts them together using skilful photo techniques. As you can see in this photo he linked the natural world and a human together. Robert Heinecken.
Robert was born in 1931 and died in 2006. He referred his self as a paraphotographer because he made photographic images without a camera. His work is combing pictures together such as faces, bodies and objects. |
Mari Mahr.

In this photograph the things that I see are is a flower and the bottom half of a body. The words that I would use to describe this image are interesting and weird. The reason why i would choose these words to describe this image is because you would not usually see an image of a person and then a flower covering the head. The colours in this image are very dull and is only in black and white so there is no colour. I think that Mari did a good job by taking this image because the composition of the image is good because the person is in the middle.

In this photograph the things that I see are is hands, clouds, water and a boat. The word i would use to describe this image is interesting because its good how Jerry has took a picture of hands and water etc and then blended them together. The colours in this photo is dull and only in black and white. The composition of the image is also good because its not all on just one side.

Double Exposure.
Aneta Ivanova.
Aneta was born in Varna, Bulgaria she started doing photography when she was 13 years old. She first started to get interested in photography when she first got her digital camera and she said it gave her so much freedom and o many ideas.
This photo is really interesting because it shows the shape of the body but then on the inside it shows a completely different scenery.

Robert Heinecken.
Robert was born 1931 and died in 2006. He referred his self as a paraphotographer because he done photographic images without a camera. In the 1980's he created several images that involved photographing images on the TV or exsposing the light of a television set directly to paper to create what he calls videograms.

My first experiment.
This is my first experiment and in this experiment I used a film LSR camera. I went around taking pictures of people and the school.
When I took the pictures i sent it away to be developed. When the pictures were developed I went into the dark room and then I put a picture over another picture and then put photographic paper there and then exposed it to light for 5 seconds.

My second experiment.
This is my second experiment and in this experiment I took pictures of a student in my class and then went on to photoshop
and got pictures from the internet and then blended it with the student.

My third experiment.
This is my third experiment and in this experiment I printed pictures of a student in my class and I started to draw over it with lines and also circles, I also put a piece of tracing paper over half the picture and then traced over the picture and kept the tracing paper on it.
My fourth experiment.
This is my fourth experiment and in this experiment I took pictures of a student in my class and then went onto photoshop
and edited them and over lapped them.
and edited them and over lapped them.
My fifth experiment.
In this experiment I used a projector and got different patterned pictures and put the projector in front of Zoe and made her stand different ways and took pictures of her.
Final Images.
My Final Evaluation.
The theme that I have chose was fantastic and strange because when I was looking at all the different pinterests fantastic and strange was the one that stood out the most and had more pictures of things to do. Also the pictures look weird and interesting and I wanted to try out how the artists do their work.
The ideas that I have developed through out unit 2 is that i've experimented with many different things such as doing double exposure and researched Robert Heineken and Aneta Ivanova. I have also experimented by using photoshop and overlaying photos of people and also places. Thirdly I have experimented by printing pictures out and drawing on them, but they did not work as well as I wanted them to because when I thought of drawing on them I thought it would come out better. Fourthly I also used photoshop by blending a student I my class. For my last experiment I got a projector and got many different patterned images and put the projector in front of a student and then took pictures of her.
The materials that I used were projectors, photoshop, pencils and pens. I learnt how to use the projector by getting images from the internet and then projecting them on to a black background and then took images of a student with the picture in front of them. I also learnt how to use photoshop and by overlapping images and being able to do different effects on the images. But when using the pencil and pens I did not learn anything because i already knew how to use them.
I done 5 different experiments and I chose to present my final piece as the projector one with the different patterned images.I created my final piece by using a DLR camera and a projector and images of the internet. I took several pictures with different patterned images. Then uploaded them to the laptop and then I edited the pictures by making them more brighter and making the contrast darker. Then I picked the best 6 pictures and mounted them.
In this unit I am really happy with the progress I have made because i've done loads of research and many experiments. if I was to do this again i would do more researches and more experiments and using different materials; also making more time.
